Eight Sleep Pod 5 vs Muse S Athena
Sqwod verdict
Our pick: Eight Sleep Pod 5 takes it — 79 vs 72.
Both are strong — the call comes down to what you prioritise:
- Eight Sleep Pod 5 — You'll invest in sleep quality and want automatic, dual-zone temperature that genuinely improves recovery — no wearable required.
- Muse S Athena — You coach meditation, focus or sleep-recovery and want objective EEG/fNIRS biofeedback to guide clients.
Our pick
Eight Sleep Pod 5
79Score · High
from €3,299
The most effective sleep-temperature system, now with a hydro-powered blanket for full-body cooling, built-in audio and a zero-gravity base. It works — but €3,299+ and a mandatory Autopilot subscription make it a serious commitment.
Muse S Athena
72Score · Medium
from €449.99
The only consumer headband pairing EEG with fNIRS brain-blood-oxygen sensing, and a genuinely strong sleep tracker — but it's a premium buy (~€449) with a paid membership on top.
