The Fresh Foam X 1080v15 swaps the EVA-based Fresh Foam for Infinion, a supercritical foam and a first for the 1080. RunRepeat scores it 91/100 and measured it about 10% lighter than the v14 at 255 g, with a much softer midsole and forefoot energy return above the category average. RTINGS agrees the heel is far bouncier, though it found the forefoot can feel firmer late in long runs.
The trade-offs are fit and support. The forefoot is narrow and elongated, breathability is weak and stability is limited, so it suits neutral runners best. The German RRP is about €180, but specialist retailers already list it from about €118.
Compared with the 1080v14, the v15 is lighter and livelier thanks to the new foam, with a similarly narrow forefoot.
