Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 vs Vivobarefoot Primus Lite IV
Sqwod verdict
Our pick: Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 takes it — 81 vs 74.
Both are strong — the call comes down to what you prioritise:
- Saucony Endorphin Speed 5 — You coach runners who want one shoe for daily miles, workouts and races, without the stiffness of a carbon plate.
- Vivobarefoot Primus Lite IV — Buy if you want maximum ground feel for lifting, functional training and hard gym floors, and you or your clients are already used to barefoot shoes.
Our pick
Saucony Endorphin Speed 5
81Score · Medium
from €160
Still one of the most versatile plated trainers you can buy, now softer, bouncier and roomier. It costs more than the discounted Speed 4, and durability has slipped.
Vivobarefoot Primus Lite IV
74Score · Low
from €97
The Primus Lite IV keeps the class-leading ground feel of the III in a lighter, more resource-efficient build. Early reviews flag weaker durability and grip, and crowd data is still thin.
