Who it's for
Buy it if…
You coach or run a studio and want one durable, hygienic, medium-firm all-rounder that survives daily multi-client use.
Skip it if…
You’re a complete beginner or very sensitive — start on the softer MED roller first.
BLACKROLL is the brand that made the foam roller a category, and the Standard is why: a medium-firm, made-in-Germany EPP roller that is effectively indestructible and trusted by physios. For a studio kitting out a recovery corner, it is the safe default that will outlast everything cheaper around it.
The only real knock is price — you can find a generic roller that rolls muscle just as well for less. What you pay extra for is the durability, the hygienic recyclable foam and the physio credibility. Beginners should note the Standard runs firm; the softer MED tier is the gentler entry point.
